Create new custom outcomes or manage existing custom Outcomes.
Find the Outcomes & Statuses page through the Alloy menu under Settings > Outcomes & Statuses.
Alloy’s three default outcomes available for a workflow are:
- Approved
- Denied
- Manual Review
You are not limited to these three default outcomes and can add as many custom outcomes based on your team's needs.
You can add new outcomes in two different locations in the dashboard - on the settings page or directly in the workflow you want to update.
Adding or managing custom outcomes through the Outcomes Setting
Create a custom Outcome
Navigate to Settings > Outcomes & Statuses.
Click Add Outcome.
Complete the fields in the Add Outcome window:
Apply to: Select where the outcome can be used. Note: The options you select under Apply to determine where the custom outcome can be used.
Display Name: Enter a unique display name for the outcome.
Description: Add an optional description.
Color: Select the color that should represent the outcome.
Icon: Select an icon for the outcome.
Classification: Select Good, Bad, or Neutral.
Review how the outcome will appear in the Workflow Display, Journey Display, and Review Display previews.
Click Add.
Delete a custom Outcome
You can delete a custom outcome from Settings only when it is not being used anywhere. System outcomes and event-status outcomes cannot be deleted.
If the outcome is used in a workflow:
Open the workflow that uses the outcome.
Open the Outcomes panel.
Click the vertical ellipsis menu next to the outcome.
Click Delete.
Repeat these steps for any other workflow using the outcome.
Return to Settings > Outcomes & Statuses.
Open the vertical ellipsis menu for the custom outcome and select Delete.
If Delete is not available in Settings, the outcome may still be in use or may be a protected system or event-status outcome. Deleting an outcome cannot be undone.
