Address re-formatting is an important part of Know Your Customer verification. The applicant may write their own address in a format that is not accepted by the various data vendors who are used to validate address information.
For these reasons Alloy leverages USPS/LOB for address formatting checks. The user’s supplied address data is checked against USPS/LOB and in cases where the formatting does not match, a correction is applied.
