This is a workaround to set a tag based on a data service failure.
For any data sources your organization would like to implement this tag on, you must first identify the attribute and threshold that will always be "true" or "false." Then, create a tag from the data source and use the “Service Failure Handling” option to apply a tag when data is missing (a service fails).
An example would be a tag firing if “Socure Sigma Fraud Score” is less than 0. It’s known that this score can never be less than 0, so that tag will never be set when information is successfully returned in an evaluation. The tag will only be set when the “Sigma Fraud Score” is not returned, which happens in the event of a service failure.
The example below shows the threshold for the “Socure Service Failure” tag to be set when the “Sigma Fraud Score” is less than 0. In the event of a service failure, this threshold will be met, which will set the “Socure Service Failure” tag based on the “Service Failure Handling” setting that will “Apply Tag.”
