Reason Codes are metadata returned by some Data Providers, which can provide further context on an Evaluation and, in some cases, how it influenced a decision.
Reason Code groups can be used in decisioning to configure the workflow to stop applications from being auto-approved, sent to Manual Review.
Add a new Reason Code Group
Reason Code Groups can be created by: Clicking the cog icon for Settings, then clicking Reason Codes within the settings menu.
Then click the Add New Group Button to add a new Reason Code group.
After you name your Reason Code Group, click Add. You can always edit the name later.
From here, you can add whatever codes you want to the group, but be sure to choose reason codes that factor into the decision process (e.g phone or email verification).
Managing Reason Code Groups
Navigate to the Settings tab, then click on the Reason Codes.
Once you are in the Reason Codes Settings section, you can customize groups of reason codes for your organization's specific needs. These reason code groups will be available for use within Application workflows.
The user can add/remove the reason codes from reason code groups. In this example, the “Address Non-Residential” reason code group is used.
In the group, the user can add/remove Selected Reason Codes. To configure which users can manage Reason Code Groups, you can Create or Manage permissions and Agent Settings.
For more information on how Reason Codes can be factored into the decision process, please see this article on how to do so.
