Your Organization's Allowlist and Denylist can be accessed and managed from the Settings. There are separate settings pages for Denylist and Allowlist respectively, but they share the same options on the page. Both lists have the option to delete entities in the following ways:
-
Remove Specific Entities: Select one or more entities from the list and remove them individually, leaving the rest of the list intact.
-
Replace the Entire List: Replace the entire list with new data, completely replacing the existing entities with the new ones.
These options provide flexibility depending on your specific needs when managing the Denylist or Allowlist.
Important:
Deleting data from the Denylist or Allowlist is an irreversible action. Once deleted, Alloy cannot recover or restore any lists. Please exercise caution when deleting data from these lists and only proceed if you are absolutely certain about your decision to remove the data.
Remove Specific Entities
This option lets you individually select one or more entities from the list and remove them, while leaving the rest of the list intact. This allows you to selectively delete specific entities without affecting the rest of the list. Note that if you check the box at the header row, all entries in the List will be selected.
- Navigate to Settings
- Click into either Allowlist or Denylist from the Settings menu
- Check the box for the row you'd like to delete or check the top-level checkbox to select all rows on the current page you're on
- Click the Perform Action... drop-down that appears
- Select Delete. This action will delete the selected row(s) immediately.
Replace the Entire List
By selecting this option, you can replace the entire list with the new data you are uploading. This action will completely overwrite the current entities in the list, ensuring that only the newly provided data remains. The previous entities will no longer be present, and only the newly provided data will remain.
- Navigate to Settings
- Click into either Allowlist or Denylist from the Settings menu
- Click the More Options (...) menu
- Click Replace List
- Add the PII you'd like to upload to the list
- At the final step, read the warnings
- To verify that you'd like to delete the List, check the box for "By checking this box, I confirm that I understand all entities in the current list will be permanently deleted and replaced with the new list. I understand this action cannot be undone."
- The Replace button becomes active and can be clicked to proceed with the update
Alternatively, the list can also be updated using the API. Available endpoints for managing the List through the API are available in List API Developer documentation.
